I have been the librarian here at Whitmore for twelve years and in that time, I've seen many trends come and go. The one thing that never changes though is the excitement when I allow a class to sign out an extra book! The love for reading is there, it just needs nurturing along the way. With the funds raised through the Adopt a School program we will be able to improve our collection across all nonfiction topics. As well, purchasing of books depicting Indigenous and multicultural characters, reflecting the lived experiences of our school’s students.
