Aberdeen Public School

Adopted by: Indigo Cambridge

I started as Principal of Aberdeen in January 2021. We are a small school of approximately 200 students. We have a beautiful library space for our students but are in need of updating and refreshing our collection of books. As a former librarian, I wanted to provide a more diverse selection of current picture books and novels for our library collection. Our school is fortunate to offer an Oneida language program for our FNMI students. We would like to see more titles that are representative of the culture and celebrations for these students. We are hoping to enhance our collection so that we have more stories about children from different cultures, as well as children with special education needs. We would love to get more books that focus on mental wellness, being kind to each other, and ways to be a good friend to help build these skills within our students too. We appreciate all of the donations that will help us make this possible for our school!
